How Cole Palmer Predicted His Football Future in High School
Cole Palmer continues his impressive form at Chelsea after winning the 2023/24 PFA Young Player of the Year award.
After 11 matches, the Englishman has scored 7 goals and made 5 assists for the Blues.
Thus, Cole fulfilled his prediction in his youth, which he recently revealed in an interview.
In 2013, Palmer wrote what he wanted to be in his Hadley Elementary School yearbook next to the caption, “One day I will be…”.
At the time, Cole, a member of Manchester City’s academy, confidently wrote “footballer” at the age of six. Several other kids wrote it, but only Cole made it to the next level.
“Teachers always told me to have a plan B. But I didn’t listen.”
It’s worth adding that Jude Bellingham also made a similar prediction. In his 2014 school yearbook, he wrote:
“I want to become a professional footballer for Barcelona and England.”
As we can see, one of them came true! And the second… not quite.
