Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall Reacts to Emotional Leicester Return with Heartfelt Message
Chelsea midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall expressed gratitude to Leicester City fans for their warm reception during his return to the King Power Stadium.
The 26-year-old, an academy graduate of Leicester, moved to Chelsea in the summer and was introduced as a late substitute in Chelsea’s 2-1 victory over his former club.
Dewsbury-Hall received applause from all four stands, a stark contrast to the reception for fellow returnees Wesley Fofana, who was booed, and Enzo Maresca, who was largely ignored. After the match, Dewsbury-Hall acknowledged both sets of fans, first clapping Chelsea’s travelling supporters and then making a lap of the pitch to thank the Leicester faithful.
On Instagram, Dewsbury-Hall shared his appreciation, posting:
- A picture of himself during the game, captioned: “Thank you for the nice reception 💙.”
- Another image of him clapping the Leicester fans, with the message: “All the best for the season @lcfc.”
Wesley Fofana, who also returned to the King Power Stadium for the second time since his 2022 move to Chelsea, took to Instagram to reflect on the game, writing:
“It always means something to me to come back here. Great victory for the team, let’s keep the streak going!”
