Marc Cucurella reveals how Cole Palmer resolved his conflict with Erling Haaland
Marc Cucurella hasn’t been the most popular player in the Premier League this season, especially among fans outside of Chelsea.
His crucial role in Spain’s victory over England in the European Championship final likely didn’t sit well with many, and Cucurella feels that his performance in that match is affecting how he’s treated on the pitch.
He believes that referees have been unfair towards him, as he’s already received five yellow cards and a suspension in just seven league games.
Chelsea have remained unbeaten in domestic competitions since their opening-day defeat to Manchester City, where they were comfortably beaten.
After a song that targeted Erling Haaland went viral over the summer, the striker seemed to feel like he had settled the score with Cucurella.
However, Cucurella recently revealed that the situation with Haaland has been resolved, largely thanks to his Chelsea teammate Cole Palmer.
He explained: “Haaland took it a bit personally because of how it came out. It’s now settled because he spoke to Palmer and told him that I’m a good guy.”
Cucurella added, “Palmer told me that Haaland was on TikTok and saw my videos, thinking it was a personal video against him, but it could have been about Mbappé or Messi instead.”
