Tyrique George is an exciting and dynamic winger who joined Chelsea at the Under-8 level through the club’s development centre programme.

Known for his pace and trickery, he has steadily risen through the youth ranks.

During the 2021/22 season, George represented England at Under-16 level, contributing to the team’s success, including winning the Val de Marne tournament. His performances at youth level continued to shine as he became a key figure for Chelsea’s Under-18s during the 2022/23 season. Under both Ed Brand and Hassan Sulaiman, he made 28 appearances, starting 18 of them, and helped the team secure the title, scoring impressive goals along the way.

In the 2023/24 season, George’s development continued as he moved up to England’s Under-18s and earned a call-up to the Under-19s. At Chelsea, he scored 20 goals across both the Under-18s and Under-21s, with eight of those coming for the Under-21s. Predominantly playing as a left-winger, George also showcased his versatility by featuring as an attacking midfielder.

His performances earned him recognition with the senior team, as he made the bench on three occasions towards the end of the season and was part of the 2024 pre-season tour in the United States. George made his first-team debut in a UEFA Conference League play-off match against Servette, coming on in the second half. He also featured in further substitute appearances in the same competition against Gent and in the Carabao Cup against Barrow.

George’s rise through the ranks reflects his exciting potential, and he continues to be one of Chelsea’s brightest young talents.
